Our Fees

Dear all our valued patients,

As of the 1st of March 2023, we will be changing to mixed billing. It is a decision that has not come lightly, however with the increasing costs over the years and the Medicare rebate not increasing enough to help support the rising costs of running a medical practice we have had to make the switch.  We take your medical care seriously and pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of patient care for you and your family.

 

Changes to our billing procedures:

Our change of fee’s will reflect the time taken and the degree of complexity of each consultation.

This means there will be an out-of-pocket fee after your doctors consultation, the introduction of mixed billings means we will have both private billing and bulk billing available within the clinic.

 

What is mixed billing?

Mixed Billing means our practice charges a private fee for some consultations and patients, and bulk bills others. Bulkbilling is when the payment for your consultation or treatment with your doctor is covered entirely by Medicare, whereas services not covered by bulk billing attract a private fee and you will receive a rebate from Medicare. This means there is an out-of-pocket cost to you.

Weekday Fee’s

Standard consultations $35.00 out of pocket, excluding the following:

 

–       Children under the age of 16

–       Over 65 years of age

–       Healthcare card holders

–       Pension card holders

–       DVA patients

–       Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

Government funded vaccines, Care Plans, Health Assessments, Diabetes reviews will remain Bulk-billed for all patients.

 

Weekends and Public Holiday fee’s

Weekends and public holidays will also incur an out-of-pocket fee for all patients.

 

$35.00 out of pocket for all patients

$20.00 out of pocket for Kids under 16, pension and healthcare card holders.

 

 

How can I make Payment and process my Medicare rebate?

 

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, credit card or EFTPOS, however our practice is equipped with TYRO and Medicare On-Line. These facilities allow us to lodge your receipt directly to Medicare on the spot.
